내 남동생이 소방대원이에요.

내 남동생이 소방대원이에요. (My little brother is a firefighter.)

I used that sentence a lot today. I hope it's correct.

We went to the fire station (소방서) today for a field trip. According to the email I got from my lovely brother, he was teaching a bunch of Iraqis how to use fire extinguishers today. For a brief moment, the space-time continuum rippled and our roles were reversed!

Class was good tonight. We played soccer the whole time (I think Master was exhausted from 5 days of class, a tournament, and then teaching SCUBA yesterday) and Late Boy and I really got into it.

He's really such a darn cheat. So I started pushing him and running into him, just like he does to everyone else. Heck, you have to when you play in mixed groups like we were, because the high school boys are super competitive. But you know Late Boy's the worst when his own teammates are cheering you on because you push him around. He's 18, which shocks me. (I found out Studious and Powerful's ages, too, they're 19 and 17 respectively.) I'm sure I'll be bruised tomorrow.

I learned a slew of new words tonight, including 반칙 (foul) which I thought meant that Late Boy was callling my very foul. Turns out this is the "foul" used in sports and he was complaining because I was acting like...well...him.

An American educator moves moved to Korea, presumably to teach English. Instead she discovers discovered that learning Korean one taekwondo class at a time is was a more captivating activity.

Somewhere along the way, she met a Good Man, fell in love, and ended up back in the States. Still doing taekwondo, still learning Korean...
