Coffee Shop Portraits

Good Man has been working much too much lately. This week he's had a convention at COEX and he has to go to work again tomorrow. After work tonight I met him over there.

Over dinner he had to answer a phone call for work (he really did, because he begged off a wedding of a coworker on Sunday) and it took so long. I felt for the boy.

We were talking about his family and his role as the eldest son. I said, "But you'll always be a bad eldest son."

He nodded and said, "Well, by Korean standards."

I whispered, "But bad eldest sons are sexy."

I don't know that I've ever seen Good Man blush! Certainly not like that before! And of course, I pointed it out, which made it worse...

We looked at some photo accessories and also some computer accessories. Good Man's birthday is coming up and I needed ideas. He said, "Some gadget. Maybe a computer mouse."

"A computer mouse? Are you serious?"

"Cheese."

I burst out laughing in the Linko store and said, "We are the most unromantic couple in Korea. We are so practical!"

He shrugged, "I think practical is good." I nodded my head, thinking it's a good thing we both think that way.

We had some coffee and took photos of each other using shutter priority (shutter 1/20th for most of the pictures of him, 1/40th for the ones of me).

A nice night.

Jennifer, Good Man is so damn photogenic!

Robbin, I don't think the employees at the shop agreed. ;) We were being quiet but I think they wanted us out of there so they could clean our table.

Welcome to my blog, Meghan, hope you poke around a bit. That photo was the last one he took in the whole series (we took about 25 shots of each other). He took it, then handed me the camera. I really like it, too.

An American educator moves moved to Korea, presumably to teach English. Instead she discovers discovered that learning Korean one taekwondo class at a time is was a more captivating activity.
