Yesterday was the Random Event Day.
Good Man and I met Jennifer and Gym Guy for a Western breakfast at lunchtime. We were late because I was having A Very Bad Day but lunch with them was nice. Gym Guy cracks me up and Jennifer is awesome. Unfortunately for the boys, when Jennifer and I get together we sort of egg each other on and tease the boys. But they've gotten smart and just give the exact same answer now. Hmmm...
Jennifer took these pictures of Good Man and me. I think these three sequential pictures tell a story of their own.

Good Man and I were going to head to the Han to take photos, but on our way to the subway station we decided to go to Gyeongbokgung instead. We happened to get there when they were doing the changing of the guards ceremony. I'd never seen it, nor had Good Man. But it was so odd. Everyone was wandering around, taking photos posing next to the participants...it seemed very disorganized. Of course, the moment I decided to actually walk up to a guard (actor) to get a sharper photo (I was using my zoom), they yelled at us all to move back. Sigh.

Then Good Man and I ended up at Costco to buy cheese for a project. A woman nearly ran into Good Man and apologized. We passed each other but the two of us looked at each other again. I recognized her. "Do I know you? I know we've spoken..." Turns out when Mom and George were here we met this woman on the subway! We ended up chatting for about 20 mins before we finally managed to get away.
Then Good Man and I took some photos in subway stations.

We got to a large transfer station and I set my tripod up at the end of the platform. Good Man had been dragging this tripod around for me, and since it was obvious we weren't going to get to the Han, I had to use it somewhere!

On the way home, we were both exhausted. Good Man blamed the subway. We got home, had some wine and cheese and relaxed. A nice, but odd, random day.
As for the photos below... Good Man took this while I was taking some notes at Gyeongbokgung. The sun was setting and I was in the shade, hence the cool tone. He shot 1/15th second, hand held, at 135 mm. I have no idea why they're not much, much blurrier than they are! I didn't know he was taking pictures. I don't know why I like this one, but I do. I think it looks better in black and white, though.
I like taking Good Man's photos off my camera. It's interesting to see how he sees me.
